About ACCT

Australian Children’s Cancer Trials (ACCT) was formed in 2008 to establish and manage a program of early phase clinical trials in paediatric cancer. Its vision is to become the premier group for conducting early phase clinical trials of investigational agents in Australia and New Zealand and in so doing provide children with access to a greater range of therapies where standard of care fails to treat their disease.

The ACCT Committee sets the strategic objectives of ACCT and meets quarterly to review its activities and consider new study proposals.

ACCT provides single organisational representation for the paediatric cancer centres in Australia for collective issues and projects, and also supports the clinical trial activity undertaken in the paediatric cancer centres through its work in streamlining the clinical trial ethical approval process.
