The Australian Cancer Survivorship Centre (ACSC) together with Victorian Cancer Agency (VCA) invites you to join the virtual 5th Victorian Cancer Survivorship Research Forum on Thursday, 10th June 2021, 2:00pm – 3:30pm. This free forum is an opportunity for healthcare professionals, researchers and organisations to hear about the excellent work that is underway by interstate experts and fellow Victorians working in cancer survivorship.
This webinar will feature presentations from the following experts:
Distinguished Professor Patsy Yates AM – Executive Dean, Faculty of Health Director, Centre for Healthcare Transformation – Queensland University of Technology
A/Prof Helena Frawley – VCA Mid-Career Research Fellowship (Non-Biomedical Stream), University of Melbourne
Dr. Amy Dennett – VCA Early-Career Research Fellowship (Non-Biomedical Stream), La Trobe University
The VCA makes funding available for translational cancer research, and enablers of cancer research, through investment in programs, projects, people and infrastructure. Distinguished Professor Patsy Yates AM will discuss her expertise as an expert reviewer for VCA grants, including tips for people who may wish to apply in the future. A/Prof Helena Frawley and Dr. Amy Dennett were recipients of VCA research fellowships in 2020 and will discuss their projects, why they applied for the grant and their research interests and experience.
The forum is open to anyone interested or involved in cancer survivorship research, so if you’re a researcher, clinician, student, consumer, policymaker or other health professional.
