Every year, we host a conference for members to come together and discuss the latest issues in our field.
The ANZCHOG Annual Scientific Meeting (ASM) is an important opportunity for people from different disciplines to collaborate, share ideas and take part in professional development, ensuring we’re pursuing our commitment to improving care for children with cancer and their families.
The ASM is comprised of informative sessions led by speakers from Australia, New Zealand and around the world; practical workshops relevant to our work; a chance for groups to meet up in person; and opportunities to network.
The next ANZCHOG Annual Scientific Meeting will be held in Brisbane, Australia from 30 July to 1 August 2025.
Theme: Clinical Trials Informing Comprehensive Care
This year’s theme highlights the pivotal role of clinical trials in advancing best practices for paediatric, adolescent and young adult (AYA) cancer care.
Key focus areas include:
- The transformative impact of clinical trials: Exploring innovations such as new drugs, cutting-edge trial designs and investigator-led studies across interdisciplinary teams.
- National and international collaboration: Driving improvements through joint efforts that span ethics, governance and specialised medical disciplines.
- Holistic, patient-centred care: Prioritising not just survivorship but quality of life, encompassing physical, emotional and social well-being from diagnosis to long-term outcomes.
Through these topics, the ASM will showcase the impact of clinical trials on improving care, fostering advancements and enhancing outcomes for all paediatric, adolescent and young adult patients.
