Allogeneic Stem Cell Transplantation in Children and Adolescents with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia - For Omitting Radiotherapy in the Under Majority age

Leukaemia

Some children and adolescents with ALL will require a bone marrow transplant. Prior to transplant, some patients will receive total body irradiation (TBI), which has a number of debilitating side effects for the patient. This study will examine whether a three-drug chemotherapy combination without TBI works as well as a single drug treatment with TBI. In addition this study will examine the impact of bone marrow transplant donor options on the child or adolescent’s outcomes.
