September was Childhood Cancer Awareness Month
As you can see our partners held some amazing events during September to raise awareness for childhood cancer.
Children’s Cancer Foundation also got involved by turning Melbourne yellow and hosting a Family Tennis Day. Their patron, Gill McLachlan, also raised an incredible $40,000 for the foundation with this huge kick at the MCG.
Many of our partners hold events outside September, so you can support their vital work throughout the year.
These include:
- Isabella & Marcus Foundation: Annual Ladies Morning Tea, Saturday 12th November at Edithvale Recreation Reserve (www.facebook.com/IsabellaAndMarcusFoundation/)
- Children’s Cancer Foundation: Million Dollar Lunch – will return in 2023 (https://www.childrenscancerfoundation.com.au/events/the-million-dollar-lunch/)
- Carrie’s Beanies 4 Brain Cancer: in addition to purchasing a beanie or cap, you can join the CB4BC Team in the Point to Pinnacle (half marathon) in Tasmania on 20th November 2002 to raise funds to support brain cancer research (https://www.carriesbeanies4braincancer.com/point-2-pinnacle)
- Super Max & Bryce: work year round to spread love, hope, happiness and comfort to children in treatment for cancer in Australia and New Zealand through gifts of Super Max the Turtle night lights (https://www.supermaxandbryce.org/)
