Shaping the Future of Kids Cancer Trials

Bringing a new drug from a lab to a child’s bedside requires massive legal and safety oversight. ANZCHOG acts as the only National Sponsor across ANZ for these trials, taking on the complex regulatory and ethical responsibilities that individual hospitals simply cannot manage alone.

Simply put.

We conduct globally recognised clinical trials and ensure the highest standard of care across Australia & New Zealand.

Clinical Trials

We bring the world’s most promising treatments to Australian and New Zealand children, close to home.

Research

The evidence behind better treatments starts here.

Quality & Safety

Every child on a trial is protected by layers of independent oversight most people never see.

Training & Support

We support the professionals and families who carry children through cancer and beyond.

Cutting Edge

World-Class Clinical Trials

We are the national cooperative clinical trials group for childhood cancer. That means we do the hard work, funding, ethics, regulatory approvals, hospital training, and ongoing monitoring to make sure children here can access cutting-edge treatments without their families needing to travel overseas.

We are proud to act as the national sponsor for a select group of world-class clinical trials. Visit our repository which contains only the studies managed directly by ANZCHOG’s National Trials Centre.

Connecting the Research

We connect laboratory science to bedside care, shaping the national research agenda through our disease and specialist groups, supporting pre-clinical work that proves a drug is safe and relevant for children, and building the data infrastructure that powers future trials.

Quality & Safety

Before a trial opens, it clears independent ethics review, TGA regulatory approval, and paediatric-specific safety frameworks. Once running, every adverse event is reported, every site is monitored, and an independent Data and Safety Monitoring Board holds the authority to stop any trial at any time.
