Community partner event – Connor’s Run

Robert Connor Dawes Foundation

During International Childhood Cancer Awareness Month ANZCHOG will be highlighting the work of our community partners throughout this month, sharing their inspirational stories and events.

Connor’s Run is nearly here. Inspired by a big heart and brain, the run is in memory of Robert ‘Connor’ Dawes who was just 18 years old when he lost his battle with an ependymoma brain tumour. The funds raised from the event go towards paediatric brain cancer research. It is actually more fun than run, with people walking, dancing, skipping and moving in whatever way suits them across a beautiful bayside course. There is music and cheer leaders to encourage people along the way. There’s also a party at the finish line on Peppercorn Lawn in the Alexandra Gardens. You can either start from Ferdinando Gardens, Hampton (18.8km) or Catani Gardens, St Kilda (9.6km) with both ending in Alexandra gardens. For those who wish to carry on the festivities join us at the Arbory Bar & Eatery for great music, drinks, raffles and more!. Whether you are regular participants or new to our run, please join us for celebrating the 10th year and help us to continue fighting kids brain cancer.
